The Legacy Of Alexander The Great

Alexander the Great is one of, if not the most revered figure in antiquity. Right now I won’t go much into his life, a topic I will surely cover later. Becoming king at age 20, he proved to be the best successor for a powerful king like his father, Phillip the second. By the age of 32 he had created the largest empire ever seen, conquering Persia, Egypt, Asia Minor and parts of India. The following is a review of the Iliad. The Iliad is a 24-section book written by Homer, and is considered the oldest piece of western literature. Conflicts The Iliad is a book filled with conflicts. The main conflicts of the book include: The Trojan war, The fight over Patroclus’s body and the fight over Briseis.
